Magento developers day

A Magento developer’s day is always full of new challenges and opportunities. No two days are ever the same, which is one of the things that makes this job so exciting.

Today, for example, I started out by working on a new feature for one of our clients. This involved researching how to best implement the feature, and then coding it up. Once I had finished that, I moved on to debugging an issue that had been causing some problems for our customers.

Next, I worked on a project for a new client, setting up their Magento store and configuring all the necessary settings. This took quite a bit of time, but it was worth it in the end as the store looks great and is running smoothly.

Finally, I wrapped up the day by working on some additional features for our own Magento store. This involved tweaking some existing code and adding a few new lines here and there.

All in all, it was a busy day but I learned a lot and made some great progress on several different projects

Time logging software

If you’re looking for a time logging tool that is both easy to use and offers bulk editing capabilities, LeanTime is a great option. With LeanTime, you can quickly and easily add, edit, and delete entries from your time log. This makes it easy to keep your time log up to date and ensure that all of your hours are accounted for.

LeanTime also offers a number of great features, such as the ability to track time by project, client, or task. This makes it easy to see how much time you’ve spent on each project and determine where you may need to make adjustments. Additionally, LeanTime offers a variety of reporting options, so you can easily track your progress and see how you’re doing.

It is self-hosted so you can avoid weird pricing models and host it yourself.

Burnouts

Programmer burnout is a very real thing. It’s what happens when you work too hard, for too long, without taking a break. And it can lead to some pretty serious consequences, including health problems, decreased productivity, and even depression.

So how can you avoid programmer burnout? Here are a few tips:

  1. Take regular breaks. It’s important to take a break every once in a while, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Get up and walk around, or take a quick nap. This will help refresh your mind and make you more productive when you return to your work.
  2. Set realistic goals. Don’t try to do too much at once. Set realistic goals for yourself and try to accomplish them one at a time. This will help reduce stress and prevent burnout.
  3. Take care of yourself. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and exercising regularly. These things will help keep you healthy and energized, which will in turn help prevent burnout.
  4. Time tracking can help keep you disciplined and organized, preventing burnout in the process.
